We spoke the team at The Swan and asked them to talk us through their newly acquired interest in music memorabilia. Here’s what they had to say.

“The Swan at Tetsworth is both an antique centre and an auction house that holds monthly sales in various departments. We have a variety of specialist departments including Taxidermy, Militaria, Asian Art and our newest addition, Rock & Roll Memorabilia!

Spearheaded by our head of department Paul, we invite anyone who has something they would like to sell that falls under that heading. Amplifiers, guitars and anything pertaining to rock music is something we are very much interested in. We provide free no-obligation valuations Tuesday-Friday at our premises in Tetsworth but we can also arrange both external (where we come to you) and drop in services from our London branch.

As a potential bidder, if there is something you would like to bid on and cannot attend our auction there are many ways to bid. All of our sales are hosted through the-saleroom.com and therefore you can watch and participate live in real-time in the comfort of your own home or office.

You can also leave a bid with them or with us directly by sending us an email at fineart@theswan.co.uk, coming in before the auction and leaving a bid, or simply telephone your bids in on 01844 281 777.

We also offer a telephone bid service, meaning you can have one of our members of staff personally bid for you as your lot is being auctioned whilst you are on the phone.

Our feature lot in this auction, Mike Oldfield’s tubular bells are being sold without reserve or estimate.”
