Skreddy Pedals’ has unveiled Rubber Soul, a guitar preamp pedal modelled after a small British tube combo.

It was designed to deliver a sound reminiscent of rock’s golden years, channelling The Beatles, Rory Gallagher, Queen and more. According to the brand, the pedal can take your tone from “clean to hot and jangly to smoky, slightly ragged overdrive”. It also has a two-band EQ that can be tweaked to achieve mid scoop, mid hump, bright, dark, thin and fat tones.

This is bolstered by an optical compressor circuit designed to emulate a sagging GZ34 tube rectifier, a saturated output transformer, overloaded voice coils and speaker cones. All of these elements aim to provide the complete small combo experience.

Available at $239. More info at skreddypedals.com.
